CHER:TWEETS: New CD To Be Best Ever!!!

2012-10-20 - 22:06 | Cher | No comments

Cher has explained why it is that we are having to wait for her new studio album.

Cher has revealed that her record company are brewing up big plans to make sure that Cher comes back with a bang with the release of her new album.

A long series of tweets, that have Cher saying, “If you’re a fan, this will be one of your favorite Cher CDs ever!”, explains much of what we want to know!

Opening with recognition that her huge abundance of fans have been very, very patient about the upcoming release, Cher tweeted about the album:

“All of you have been so patient! The truth – I’m waiting for new news from my record company. I’m busting my ass to make this my best! I promise you, if you’re a fan, this will be one of your favorite Cher CDs ever! The record company thinks it has another ‘Believe’, and plan to release remix of ‘the’ song in world blitz! – Press, big shows here and in Europe. It sounds hard! They’ve made a bigger plan than before but they are putting down entire new plan for me to see, and then pass out! I haven’t talked about it – I was waiting. So now you know what I do!”

Cher also tweeted a time or two about her new tour.

She wrote, “What’s totally weird is that I’ve been asked to tour in countries that I’ve never been to before! Brazil! I didn’t think people in Brazil knew who I was! Great huh?”

About the length of the tour, Cher tweeted, “I will tour for as long as I can! I hold the record for the longest tour by a ‘girl’! 3-and-a-half years. Some young thing has probably broken it!”.

Months ago, when a fan asked the ‘I Got You Babe’ singer on Twitter about Russia, Cher answered, “I will play gig in December”. From Cher’s reply, most onlookers assumed that Cher would perhaps be playing a gig in Russia, in December, as part of her new tour. Now, that was back when we thought that the tour would be taking place in December. Now, we can be pretty sure that the tour will not be going on during the last month of this year. However, it seems that Cher will still be performing the – perhaps, one-off – gig in Russia. When a fan tweeted the star about her 1991 track ‘Save Up All Your Tears’, Cher answered, “I’m singing that in Russia! Love It!”.

Lady Gaga: Who Wants To Smell Like Fame???

2012-09-17 - 20:24 | Lady Gaga | 2 comments

Lady Gaga’s seductive new perfume is officially released. Can’t wait to get some!!!

Last year the singer told “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” in Australia that the scent would smell “like an expensive hooker,” and that it would feature fragrance notes of “blood and semen.”

“But it doesn’t smell like it,” she told the show then. “You just get sort of the after feeling of sex from the semen and the blood is sort of primal. And the blood was taken from my own blood sample, so it’s like a sense of having me on your skin,” she said.

Lady Gaga Fame, billed as “The First Ever Black Eau de Parfum,” is a black perfume that turns clear once it is spritzed. The description on the purple and black bottle lists the fragrance’s ingredients as “tears of belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot and the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.”

During their first taping of the talent reality show on Sunday in New York, newcomers Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj are said to have talked over one other in a bid to be the most vocal judge.

Barbra Streisand: Comments On The Passing Of Comic Icon Phyllis Diller

2012-08-22 - 02:16 | Barbra Streisand | No comments

Not many people knew that a then fairly unknown, Barbra Streisand, was asked to open for “Comedic Legend” Phyllis Diller after Phyllis caught one of her early club gigs in New York. Here’s what she had to say about her friend:

“I adored her. She was a wondrous spirit who was great to me. Phyllis paved the way for all the female comedians who followed in her footsteps. The public knew her as a self-deprecating, wise-cracking, complainer. In fact, she was a lovely, smart and sensitive woman. I will always be grateful to her and I will cherish her memory forever. ”

Decades later Ms. Diller would repay the favor by opening her AFI Lifetime Achievement Award Gala in 2001, an event i was lucky enough to attend!!!Here’s a clip below:

MADONNA: Sued For Speech Supporting LGBT Rights In Russia

2012-08-21 - 22:57 | Madonna | No comments

One of the MANY things that i haved always loved about Madonnais how she fights for her freedom of speech, expression, and the rights of all people, especially the LGBT community!!!

Earlier this month, during a concert in St. Petersburg, Russia, Madonna delivered a fiery speech in support of LGBT rights, and now, she’s being sued because of it.

According to The Associated Press, the Queen of Pop is now the subject of a lawsuit filed by nine Russians, who claim her speech violated a law passed in February that makes it illegal to promote homosexuality to minors.

There were reportedly children as young as 12 at the 9th August show, and the suit — which also names the organiser of the concert and the venue where it was held, the Peterburgsky SKK complex — is seeking damages totalling 333 million rubles, or nearly $10.5 million.

The suit also included a video taken at the concert that shows Madge “stomping on an Orthodox cross” and asking fans to raise their hands to show pink armbands in support of gays and lesbians.

In her speech, the Like A Virgin hitmaker called for members of Russia’s LGBT community to be “treated with dignity, with respect, with compassion, with love,” and took the country to task for recent crackdowns on LGBT protestors.

She said: “I feel people are becoming more and more afraid of people who are different; people are becoming more intolerant.

“It’s a very scary time, but we can make a difference. We can change this. We have the power. And we don’t have to do it with violence; we just have to do it with love.”

The speech came just two days after Madonna angered Russian politicians by voicing her support for jailed punk protestors Pussy Riot.

After three members of the group were found guilty of “hooliganism,” she released a statement that called their two-year jail sentence “inhumane.”

The statement read: “I protest the conviction and sentencing of Pussy Riot to a penal colony for two years for a 40-second performance extolling their political opinions.

“I call on all those who love freedom to condemn this unjust punishment. I urge artists around the world to speak up in protest against this travesty. They’ve spent enough time in jail. I call on all of Russia to let Pussy Riot go free.”

A spokesperson for Madonna could not be reached for comment about the lawsuit by press time.
